In the heart of Ragusa Ibla, an enchanting Baroque Town, UNESCO Heritage Site, Relais & Chateaux Locanda Don Serafino has set up shop in a small 19th-century former residential building carved into a rocky cliff. This unique boutique hotel is decorated with traditional handicraft wooden furniture produced by local artisans and hand-sewn curtains. The hotel enjoys only ten rooms, equipped with the most modern and luxurious amenities. Some of the suites are hidden downstairs, hewn from the hillside with exposed rock faces and with a private garden and mini pool! Some enjoy vaulted ceilings and exposed stone walls, typical of local construction. Close by, the hotel’s restaurant ‘Don Serafino’ boasts two Michelin stars. Chef Vincenzo Candiano sources his ingredients exclusively from the island, yet draws his inspiration from well beyond the Mediterranean to elevate Sicilian cuisine with his own style. The enoteca has an impressive wine list with over 700 prestigious labels. Locanda Don Serafino’s beach restaurant opens only during the summer time at the hotel’s private beach in Marina di Ragusa.
